Frequently Asked Questions
Weddings are confusing things, trust us! There is so much to consider and think about before the big day. So if you have any questions, hopefully they are answered below. If not, please use the Contact us form to get in touch!
Ceremony Information
When and where is the ceremony being held?
The Ceremony is taking place at the picturesque Normanton Church, on the edge of Rutland Water Reservoir. We have the church booked for a 2 hour window between 1pm and 3pm on Saturday 17th May 2025
What time do I need to arrive?
Because there is a walk from the car park (more on this below), we recommend that you arrive no later than 1:30pm as the ceremony will start at 2pm exactly
What is the Parking situation?
The main car park is roughly a 5 minute walk from the church, but the ground is largely dry and stable, but please bear this in mind.

There are 5 dedicated accessible spaces nearer to the church which we have pre-allocated to guests with mobility issues.

Please see this map for the route you will need to take.

The Post Code for the car park is: LE15 8HD
What is the Great British weather decides it does not want to play ball?
Please check the weather forecast for the day before leaving (and then ignore it, as Rutland Water spawns it's own weather). Please feel free to wear Coats, Waterproof foot ware and bring umbrellas if needed. We should be able to store them in the back of the Church if necessary
Ceremony Timeline
The ceremony starts at 2:00pm sharp, and there will be people on hand to greet you at the Church. Once inside, please pick a side, but in the interest of keeping thing balanced, we may need to move a few people around should one side become too full.

Once the ceremony has concluded, the Wedding party will be taken away for photos, and you are free to make your way to the Reception Venue at The Old Cow Shed - Post Code LE14 2TN
